Trademark applications can take a very long time from date of application to date of registration. In fact, many applications are taking anywhere from 12-18 months. Of course, an applicant can reduce the amount of time needed by responding to UDPTO requests such as office actions or intent to use affidavits in a timely manner.
Finding the current status of a trademark application may seem confusing, but it really isn't.
Effective May 24, 2022, the USPTO no longer sends paper trademark certificates to applicants at the completion of the registration process. Trademark applicants can now receive paper certificates by making a request to the USPTO.
