Trademark applications can take a very long time from date of application to date of registration. In fact, many applications are taking anywhere from 14-18 months. Of course, an applicant can reduce the amount of time needed by responding to UDPTO requests such as office actions or intent to use affidavits in a timely manner.

The USPTO website provides guidelines on how long steps in the trademark application process should take. You can access this information HERE.

Also, the USPTO provides a dashboard of recent time analytics to show just how they are doing. You can access that information HERE.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, trademark application times have greatly increased for a variety of reasons. Word is that the USPTO is working hard to reduce these times through various initiatives and modernization projects.
